Color is a Feeling 2: Return of the Wool

Our newest solid rugs explore the convergence of nature and folklore. Color is a Feeling: Return of the Wool, our second hand tufted wool solid rug collection, is comprised of five colors representing not only a varied assortment of botanical influences - flowers, fruits, vegetables and nuts - but also the mythology which surrounds them. 

Folktales use magic and anthropomorphism to explore people’s relationships with nature and with each other. In old stories, rugs have long been associated with magic. Step onto the rug and something happens. Placing a rug in a home is a kind of spell too. Make this space peaceful, make that one safe from falls, welcome my guests over here.
