Dessert
Dedicated to our immigrant parents and the Taiwanese and English deserts we grew up on
The Dessert
This was the first bamboo silk rug we ever produced, as part of our first Deadstock collection some years ago, and it looked to us like candy and ice cream, shiny and delicious.
Mochi
We ate ours filled with red bean paste, from the supermarket, or in warm sugar-flavored soups. Or, for a treat’s treat, alongside the sweet red beans and condensed milk my father poured over hand-shaved ice.
Taro
Poisonous when eaten raw, delicious when cooked.
Sherbet
Sweetly acidic fizzy powder we used to lick off sticks of licorice.
Battenberg - Chocolate and Vanilla
Growing up in England, this is what we talk about when we talk about cake.
